HANDYMAN

Kasasa Private School, located in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota District, is a co-educational primary school offering the Cambridge Curriculum (Early Years to Stages 6) to learners aged 3 to 12 years. To support the effective and efficient delivery of its strategic objectives, Kasasa School invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated candidates to fill the position of Handyman.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs of school buildings, furniture, and equipment.
• Performing basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and electrical maintenance.
• Inspecting school facilities and reporting major maintenance requirements.
• Maintaining school grounds and ensuring the premises are clean, safe, and secure.
• Adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent.
• A certificate in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Building Maintenance, or a related trade will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in general maintenance or handyman services.
• Practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical repairs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a school or institutional environment will be an added advantage.
