WE ARE HIRING: CONTENT MANGEMENT OFFICER

UbuntuNet Alliance is looking for a Content Management Officer to support the growth of its Open Pan-African Repository (OPAR), the OPAR Community of Practice, and related digital knowledge initiatives, including its emerging e-textbook programme. The role combines digital content coordination, repository support, knowledge organisation, community engagement, training support, and educational resource management within a growing Pan-African open knowledge ecosystem. The Alliance is seeking an organised, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual with experience in digital content, libraries, repositories, scholarly communication, education, or knowledge platforms who is passionate about strengthening access to African research and learning resources.

UbuntuNet Alliance is registered as a Trust in Malawi and operates as a not-for-profit business entity, providing connectivity and other value-added services to member National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) across the Eastern and Southern Africa. It also manages projects supported by development partners, especially the European Union.

Applications are invited from Eastern and Southern Africa countries. Applicants from other regions within Africa and elsewhere may also be considered. The position shall be based at the Alliance’s Lilongwe, Malawi, office.
