Digital Resource Mobilizer / Healing Hugs Field Coordinator

Background

Hope and Healing International is a Christian international development organisation dedicated to advancing disability-inclusive services. The organisation works to prevent life-long disabilities, facilitate access to treatment, and empowers children with disabilities to realise their full potential while affirming their dignity and value in society.

Through its mission to provide hope and healing to children and communities living in poverty, the organisation delivers essential health, educational, and rehabilitation support services.

In partnership with the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA), Hope and Healing International supports the implementation of the Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Programme.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Digital Resource Mobilizer for a one (1) year contract subject to renewal depending on performance.

Reporting to : The CBID Coordinator / Rehabilitation Manager

Grade: MCH 708
Duty Station: Lilongwe/Salima District
Working Hours : 8 hours per day

Job Purpose

The Digital Resource Mobilizer / Healing Hugs Field Coordinator will support MACODA’s operations by leading the collection and management of digital content for fundraising initiatives. The role focuses on capturing compelling stories, images, and data that enhance fundraising efforts and strengthen programme visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage client data, photographs, and videos for fundraising campaigns.
  • Conduct interviews with CBID programme beneficiaries to develop impactful human-interest stories and case studies.
  • Develop and organise digital content to support resource mobilisation efforts.
  • Serve as the focal point for all communications related to digital resources.
  • Collaborate with the CBID Coordinator and District Managers to identify and prioritise high-impact stories.
    Provide accurate and ethical representation of children with disabilities, including their backgrounds, aspirations, and progress.
  • Ensure timely transfer and proper storage of digital materials using appropriate technology.
  • Video shooting and Editing
  • Capture and edit high-quality video content for communication and fundraising purposes.
  • Prepare monthly work plans and reports.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chichewa.
  • Those with a degree will have an added advantage

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and digital tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of flexibility, adaptability, and initiative.
  • Valid motorcycle rider’s licence with practical riding experience.
