Laboratory Manager

Job Purpose

To plan, organize, co-ordinate and oversee the overall operation of laboratory activities and to maintain productivity and quality of analytical procedures. To fill in as necessary to ensure that the laboratory delivers its customer commitments, operates profitably and obtains best shareholder value.

Qualification and Experience

  • Relevant First degree in science.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a minerals laboratory, 2 years of which should be in a supervisory role.
  • Above average organizational and communication skills.
  • Planning and Leadership skills required.
  • High level of computer literacy and familiarization with Microsoft office software.
  • Sound understanding of legislative requirements for handling of geological samples.
