Salima Sugar Company Limited (SSCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Malawi under the Companies Act with postal address P.O. Box 200, Lilongwe whose Head Office is situated at Plot 588, Area 3, Lilongwe.

SSCL is a subsidiary of Greenbelt Investments Holdings Limited and its Partners.

The Company’s business is development of sugar plantations, production of sugar and its by-products for the Malawi and export markets.

The Company is now looking for dynamic and well versed individuals to fill the following position:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

1. Developing and reviewing internal audit policies, procedures, systems and user manuals
2. Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes
3. Developing and monitoring implementation of risk management programs, strategies and activities
4. Monitoring and offering advice on the performance of approved budget and utilization of company resources
5. Preparing and submitting/presenting audit reports to Management and
6. Board of Directors
7. Conducting/supervising investigations on any incidents of fraud, theft, forgeries, accidents and other losses
8. Facilitating redress such as litigation, recovery and insurance claims
9. Liaising with and providing support to external auditors to ensure that audit exercises are completed on time and efficiently
10. Developing and monitoring implementation of risk management programs, strategies and activities.
11. Preparing periodic operational reports
12. Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Auditing from an accredited University with 5 years’ experience.
