Our client, a leading telecommunication Service provider is seeking energetic, aggressive, and self-motivated and result oriented individuals to join its team in the position mentioned below to work under its Marketing Department:

BRAND STRATEGY AND MEDIA EXECUTIVE

Implementation of the Brand Portfolio marketing strategy to drive achievement of corporate objectives, oversee and execute all brand activity to ensure that it is in line with brand strategy and corporate guidelines. And to develop and implement brand and media strategies in line with the business and marketing strategy to drive brand salience and reduce churn. Drive brand awareness through share of voice and positive take out from all ATL communication. Keep abreast of communication trends within the industry and in general. Work closely with creative agency and the media.

REPORTING TO THE BRAND & COMMUNICATIONS TEAM LEAD THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Promotions and brand Building

  • Brand custodian
  • Ensure effective execution of all campaigns development and roll out
  • Support relevant marketing activities to support the development of the brand across the country
  • Ensure Brand compliance under guidance of the Head of Brand and Marketing communications and Head of Department

Marketing Management

a. Agency Management Relations;

  • Agency briefing with clear action standards for any brand related communication and promotion
  • Overall Advertising agency contracts and relationships are effectively managed
  • Input at mid and end of year evaluation of the Agency

b. Marketing intelligence and customer insights;

  • Research commissioning
  • Competition reports
  • Market trend analysis reports

c. Cost Control;

  • Agency fees paid on time at agreed timelines
  • Budget management conforming to approved payment policy
  • Adhere to the payment system policy ensuring all campaign deliverables have orders prior to work being done and GRNs to facilitate payment after successful and satisfying delivery

Project Management

  • Ensure all projects are carried out within set budget, set timelines and according to agreed calendar
  • Works on special projects and assignments that may affect brand integrity

Communication

  •  Digital Marketing – Digital media management
  • Marketing Communications;
    a. All marketing communications carrying the brand logo to be in line with brand guidelines and brand communication standards
    b. Support all other functions driving brand values and ensuring custodianship of brand standard conformance

Media Management

  • Media agency management – briefing, media planning
  • Ensuring good relations are maintained with media houses and other vendors by facilitating timely order processing and payment.
  • Competitor and trend tracking, Market intelligence and insights.
  • Media compliance tracking and Share of Voice management
  • Optimal placement and timing of adverts through relevant media plans and schedules.
  • Tracking of actual spend vs plan.

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENT / QUALIFICATION

Educational Qualifications, Functional – Technical Skills & Experience
• Degree in Marketing/ Business or any commercial discipline
• Excel and Power point competency will be an added advantage
• Practical experience in media, brand or communication management.
• Knowledge of the Telecom Industry is an added advantage
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar post
