Background
The Malawi Enterprise Development Fund Limited (MEDF) is a government-owned microfinance institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities, through the provision of quality, affordable, and sustainable microfinance services.
Reporting to: Procurement and Asset Disposal Manager (MF3)
Job Purpose
- Participate in development of procurement and asset disposal policies and plans
- Liaise with user departments on procurement of goods, works, and services
- Prepare tender and contract documents
- Facilitate tender openings and evaluations
- Prepare bid evaluation reports for IPC
- Inspect goods and ensure compliance with specifications
- Conduct market research on pricing and suppliers
Description
To provide effective procurement and asset disposal services in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management obtained from an NCHE accredited institution
- Master’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management obtained from an NCHE accredited institution
Experience
Three (3) years of work experience at a similar level
