Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidates to take up the position of IT Support Officer in our IT Department.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing first-line support to all end users of the bank and tracking closure of technical as well as governance issues, including audit items. The IT Support Officer will be the link between IT and Business as well as among different IT Sections

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first-level triage of issues, assigning to IT support Specialists.
  • Coordinate and set up war rooms for issue resolution.
  • Forward hardware and application support queries
  • and issues to the responsible teams and follow-up to closure.
  • Making sure that anti-virus updates and work tool patches are applied effectively and promptly.
  • Manage the evaluation of vendors.
  • Manage Incident, Risk and change register.
  • Track SLA expiry and renewal.
  • Track equipment service
  • Track closure of audit items.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology or any related field.
  • CompTIA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT administration related role in a large financial institution, telecommunications company.
