When the Saints is looking for qualified trauma counselors!
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Chichewa.
- Must have passion for the welfare of children.
- Must be around 35-45 years of age.
- Have diploma in counseling or psychology from a recognized institution.
- Those with a Degree will have an added advantage.
- Ability to relate and communicate well with children and also do family counseling.
- Must be a born again Christian.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and guidance to the sexually exploited girls.
- Assess children’s needs, strength, weaknesses and situations to determine their goals.
- Must ensure high levels of emotional, physical care and appropriate activities of children planned and provided as they journey to healing.
- Work with families and communities on creating and strengthening a support system for the child through sensitization and advocacy.
- Make follow-ups to the discharged children to ensure that their situation has improved.
- Monitor girl’s progress and adjust their treatment plan.
