REQUEST FOR BIDS
Background
Habitat for Humanity Malawi (HFHM), affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International, is a non-profit Christian organization aiming at improving housing conditions in Malawi. HFHM was established in Malawi in 1986 and has assisted over 133,600 families through different housing solutions. Guided by our vision, “A Malawi where everyone has a decent place to live,” we continue to work toward transforming lives through sustainable and affordable housing initiatives.
With funding from Hope and Healing and Habitat for Humanity Canada (HFHC) under the Circles of Care:
Empowering Families of Children with Disabilities through Housing and Livelihoods project, HFHM is inviting suitably qualified, experienced and competent Construction companies to submit tender proposals for the following works:

Requirements
Interested companies must include the following in their proposal:
- Registration with National Construction Industry Council (NCIC)
- Tax Registration Certificate
- Tax Clearance Certificate
- Appropriate regulatory permits, licences, accreditation and membership where necessary
- Particulars of personnel
- Three traceable business references
- Financial capacity statement – 3 years
It is mandatory for all interested bidders to conduct a site visit to the relevant site(s) prior to submitting their bids.

Interested eligible bidders are to request bid documents via email at inquiries@habitat.mw with immediate effect.
Sealed bid documents must be labelled “HFHM/HFHC/COC/2026/05 – Disability-Friendly Housing Construction” and submitted to the address below. Electronic bids will not be accepted.
Closing date for receiving bids is 7th August 2026 at 10:00 and bids will be opened on the same day in the presence of all bidders at 10:30.
