Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawian candidates to fill the following vacant posts existing at Mwanza District Council
Post: Senior Nursing Officer (Serving Officers only)
Grade: H/M5
Location : Mwanza District Council
Duties
- Plan and implement comprehensive quality nursing care, using the nursing/midwifery process of critical thinking.
- Perform activities of daily living for the patients 24 hours/day.
- Collaborate with other health workers in meeting specific needs for the patients,
- Facilitate adherence to standard precautions of infection prevention and control practices,
- Build therapeutic relationship with patients, guardians and fellow health workers,
- Document and maintain accurate records of all nursing care activities performed,
- Maintain professional code of conduct,
- Develop ward/depariment policies in consultation with other multidisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Applicants must be a serving nursing officers (Grade HI/M6) in possession of bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery, pediatric nursing or nursing education from a well-recognized institution with a minimum experience of 4 years’ at Grade I/M and must be serving officer within Local authorities.
