SENIOR ICT OFFICER SECURITY (NF5)

Reporting to Chief ICT Security Officer

Job Purpose

To support the Chief ICT Officer (Security) in safeguarding systems, networks and data from security breaches, threats and unauthorized access.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conducting regular updates, routine system audits, vulnerability assessments, and patches to security software and systems.
  2. Setting up and configuring security tools and software.
  3. Implementing and monitoring of network traffic, system activity, and security tools to detect potential security vulnerabilities.
  4. Responding to security incidents and support the documentation of incidents for analysis and reporting.
  5. Maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of security incidents, audits, and compliance for reference.
  6. Deploying security measures to NEEF staff to protect ICT applications and infrastructure from breaches, malware, and other threats.
  7. Distributing firewalls, antiviruses software’s, intrusion detection systems and other security tools to NEEF staff.
  8. Conducting security checks on the infrastructure and implement remedial measures.
  9. Securing end points and regularly updating NEEF’s security systems.
  10. Preparing ICT Security data

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field from an NCHE accredited institution;
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
