Position: PR Specialist

Reporting to: Managing Director

Department: Public Relations

Workforce Recruitment Services seeks to recruit for the following position on behalf of a Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Public Relations Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement PR strategies backed by thorough research and aligned with client goals.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and pitches to secure coverage in key outlets.
  • Monitor media trends, industry news, and competitor PR strategies to provide strategic insights.
  • Ensure corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives are woven into PR campaigns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to enhance media presence.
  1. Approval & Compliance Workflow
  • Draft PR materials and submit them for internal feedback before finalizing.
  • Ensure all press releases, strategies, and client deliverables receive Managing Director (MD) approval before external distribution.
  • Document approvals and store finalized PR materials in designated project management tools.
  1. Media Relations & Coverage Tracking
  • Build and manage a media database with up-to-date contacts for journalists and key media houses.
  • Schedule regular check-ins with media contacts to maintain strong partnerships.
  • Monitor media coverage, compile a monthly PR report, and assess campaign impact.
  • Respond to media inquiries in a professional and timely manner, involving the MD when necessary.
  1. Digital PR & Content Integration
  • Work closely with the digital team to align PR efforts with social media campaigns.
  • Repurpose press releases into blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and digital content.
  • Collaborate on influencer outreach, social listening, and digital PR monitoring.
  • Leverage online reputation management strategies to strengthen brand presence.
  1. Research & Strategy Development
  • Conduct industry research, audience analysis, and competitor benchmarking to shape PR campaigns.
  • Analyze media consumption patterns to identify the best platforms for client outreach.
  • Present data-driven PR strategies that ensure measurable impact and brand growth.
  1. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Community Engagement
  • Identify CSR initiatives that align with client brand values.
  • Develop communication strategies to highlight CSR activities through PR and digital channels.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of CSR initiatives, incorporating insights into client reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in PR, media relations, or corporate communications.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content development skills.
  • Established media contacts and experience securing press coverage.
  • Understanding of SEO, digital PR strategies, and influencer marketing.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and measure PR effectiveness.
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in an agency environment or in a role like such in fast environment.
  • Familiarity with PR analytics tools and social listening platforms.
  • Background in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community engagement.
