The Company holds an 85% interest in the Kayelekera Uranium Project in Karonga, Malawi. Lotus is committed to generating value for its shareholders, customers, and communities where it operates. The Company is situated in Karonga, Malawi and has its headquarters in Perth, Australia. Lotus is undertaking refurbishment and maintenance of the process plant and other facilities in preparation for production to commence in the near future.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Employment Type: Full-time
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all staffing needs of the business are met and maintained.
REPORTING TO: HR Coordinator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the HR Coordinator –
- Participate in the administration of the human resource procurement activities such as:
- HR planning o job evaluation o benefits structuring orecruitment and selection o relocation and induction programs
- Participate in the administration of operational human resources development processes such as succession planning, promotions and transfers to ensure the company’s needs are met.
- Participate in implementing employee performance management processes to ensure optimum employee performance and take appropriate action to remedy any substandard employee performance or behaviour.
- Ensure the timely completion of human resource administration activities such as:
- Conditions of Service o Remuneration Benefits oPerformance Management o Union Matters o Employee Relationso Grievance and Disciplinary Matters
- Contribute to the development, implementation and audit of best practice human resource policies, procedures and guidelines that support departments in the management of their human resources.
- Perform all aspects of the monthly payroll procedure and ensure its timely and accurate completion.
- Carry out other duties as required or directed by the HR Coordinator or the HR Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Sociology or Psychology/Industrial Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Experience in Human Resources Administration/Staffing/Labour Relations
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Experience with mining operations and minerals processing in a developing country environment will be an added advantage.
