Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Blantyre Head Office, Workforce Recruitment Services

Job Summary:

Workforce Recruitment Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team at the Blantyre Head Office. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our HR functions, with a focus on recruitment, payroll management, and labour relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in handling employee relations and resolving workplace issues.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyze HR metrics.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and labour relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software (e.g. Sage)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in payroll management and labour relations will be an added advantage.
