Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Blantyre Head Office, Workforce Recruitment Services
Job Summary:
Workforce Recruitment Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team at the Blantyre Head Office. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our HR functions, with a focus on recruitment, payroll management, and labour relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide support in handling employee relations and resolving workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze HR metrics.
- Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and labour relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software (e.g. Sage)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in payroll management and labour relations will be an added advantage.
