High Voltage Electrical Supervisor
Lotus Africa seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and motivated individual to the post of High Voltage Electrical Supervisor at Kayelekera Uranium Mine in Karonga.
PRINCIBLE JOB OBJECTIVES:
- Ensure safe, cost-effective electrical maintenance to support production targets and environmental standard.
- Lead high-voltage maintenance operations, manage teams, and improve planning, quality, and resource utilization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and enforce safe work procedures for both high-risk and routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain strong safety communication through meetings, updates, and toolbox talks
- Oversee daily maintenance (planned and unplanned) to ensure safe, efficient
- execution and proper prioritization
- Manage shutdown maintenance by defining scope, resources, timelines, and handling emergent work effectively
- Optimize use of resources, including accurate rostering and alignment with maintenance capacity and schedules
- Support planning processes by reviewing work orders, managing backlogs, and coordinating weekly work programs
- Ensure compliance with site standards, statutory requirements, inspections, and maintenance systems
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
- Certified HV electrician. Must have minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience with High Voltage (6.6KV) and Low Voltage (400V) electrical installations, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs and HVAC systems.
