Position Summary:

PSI seeks a Digital Health Innovation Specialist to provide technical support in the scale up and use of digital health innovations for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV services among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM) in the DREAMS districts of Phalombe, Mulanje and Machinga. The specialist will support the implementation of digital innovations and scale up use of digital platforms, coordinate with key stakeholders, and lead creative design processes to ensure that digital innovations are accessible, acceptable, and effective in generating demand and linking clients to SRH/HIV services.

Digital Health Innovation Specialist for SRH/HIV Service Demand Generation

Position Title: Digital Health Innovation Specialist
Location: Malawi (Southern Region)
Reports To: PSI Digital Health Manager with a dotted line to SBC Technical Advisor
Contract Type: 10 months with a possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Health Innovations Scale-Up: Lead the expansion of digital health platforms to improve access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and HIV services. Ensure these platforms provide essential information, appointment reminders, and details about service delivery points to target populations, including adolescents and young people.

Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and implementing partners to design and implement user-friendly digital health solutions aimed at increasing demand for SRH and HIV services.

Creative Design Process: Facilitate a user-centered design process to develop accessible, age-appropriate digital content. Leverage digital tools such as social media, messaging platforms, and influencers to engage key populations.

Digital Strategy Development: Develop and implement digital innovation strategies, including the use of social media platforms and other digital channels to reach target audiences with tailored health messages.

Social Media Content Development: Utilize insights from audience analysis to create engaging and relevant social media content aimed at increasing demand for SRH and HIV services.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and evaluate the performance of digital platforms and campaigns, using data to assess their effectiveness in improving service uptake among target populations.

Qualifications: YOUR PROFICIENCY AND EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL CAMPAIGNS RELATED TO HEALTH WILL BE ASSESSED COMPREHENSIVELY

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing and Journalism from a reputable institution
  • Proven experience in digital health innovation or digital marketing for a reputable organisation
  • Experience working for an advertising creative agency is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
