1) Background Information
Caire Macs Limited, a company carrying out business in Macadamia, Dairy, Poultry and Piggery, invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit quotes for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a drip irrigation system for its Macadamia orchard with 4,450 trees. The layout of the orchard follows a spacing structure of 8m by 4m throughout the orchard, with negligible variations.
2) Project Overview
Orchard Size : 13.8 hectares; 4,450 trees spaced 4m by 8m apart.
Water Source: water will be tapped from a Dam situated right next to the Orchard.
Objective: install an efficient and reliable drip irrigation system for optimal water distribution to all trees. Driplines lines: double lines per row, four drip points around a tree spaced within a range of 1m apart.
3) Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for site assessment and system design; supply of all materials and equipment; installation of the complete drip irrigation system; pumping and filtration systems; mainlines, sub-mainlines, and drip line; control valves and automation; testing and commissioning; training of personnel.
4) Technical Requirements
Uniform water distribution across all trees; efficient use of dam water; durable, agricultural-grade materials; provision for future expansion and filtration and fertigation capability.
5) Submission Requirements
Company profile and relevant experience; detailed technical proposal and system design; bill of Quantities (BoQ) and specifications; project timeline; financial proposal (itemized costs) and references from similar projects.
6) Eligibility Criteria
Proven experience in irrigation systems; at least five similar completed projects and qualified technical Personnel.
7) Evaluation Criteria
Technical compliance and design quality; experience and past performance; cost effectiveness and competitiveness; capacity to deliver and commitment to deliver within agreed scope and deadline.

Site visits can be arranged upon request at a cost to be borne by the Contractor; bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with site conditions before submission.
