SEASONAL PROCESSING SHIFT COORDINATOR

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited is seeking a qualified, experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Seasonal Processing Shift Coordinator in Lilongwe.

Overall Job Function

Reporting to the Processing Manager, the Seasonal Processing Shift Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring proper coordination and implementation of continuous improvement in all processing activities to achieve quality tobacco products acceptable by customers whilst attaining organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all processing activities and requirements
• Assure processing equipment and resources are in constant conformance to customer requirements
• Coordinate processing activities to improve plant uptime, attain quality products and optimize efficiencies.
• Coordinate and supervise blending, threshing, redrying, and packing operations
• Coordinate IMS system programs and other safe working policies.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

The successful candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of a University Engineering Degree or Diploma in the following disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a tobacco-processing factory.
• Highly self-motivated individual with a demonstrable ability to work under high pressure.
• Must be flexible and willing to work under demanding circumstances
• Must have excellent communication, data analytical and good supervisory skills.
• Working on shifts without supervision.
