The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is a statutory body established under the Communications Act, 1998 to regulate the provision of services in the communications sector in Malawi, comprising telecommunications, postal and broadcasting.
MACRA is inviting suitable persons to apply for the following vacant positions tenable at its Blantyre Head Office.
INTERNAL AUDIT OFFICER
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the incumbent will perform the following duties:-
- Assisting in audit planning and engagement of clients.
- Collecting relevant data and documentation related to specific audit assignments.
- Calculating, computing, and verifying data to assist in forming department audit opinion.
- Receiving and inspecting reports and invoices.
- Participating in organizing and maintaining audit working papers.
- Assisting in Compiling audit reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Audit, Finance or Accounting for a recognized institution of higher learning.
- At least three (2) years experience in audit.
- Membership with the relevant professional body.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
