Job Description
The Country Lead: SHE is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of integrated Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality, and Food Safety management systems across the entire operation. The role ensures regulatory compliance, system effectiveness, operational excellence, sustainability performance, and customer satisfaction while supporting business strategic objectives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Safety and Environmental Management:

  • Manage integrated SHE systems for the entire operation.
  • Implement and maintain a documented management system that includes Quality, Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Support implementation of Supply Chain Way Systems and ensure active involvement in Safety, Quality, and 5S pillars and improvement projects.
  • Ensure improvement processes are in place for water and energy usage as well as waste and recycling.
  • Monitor and report on SHE goals and objectives aligned with business strategic objectives.
  • Ensure corrective action plans are in place to correct and improve KPIs.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure validation requirements for new processes and equipment are followed as per agreed protocols.
  • Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement for SHE and sustainability.
  • Facilitate technical problem solving regarding quality issues.
  • Ensure improvement processes are in place to improve water and energy usage as well as waste and recycling.
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement programs for Quality Process Capability.

Customer Service and Cost Management:

  • Identify and communicate customer needs and expectations, and build effective relations with internal and external customers.
  • Implement and manage cost plans, ensuring quotations are available in time to update rolling estimates for consumables.
  • Communicate and plan for all laboratory CAPEX requirements in the annual budget process according to the standard lab list.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service by identifying and communicating customer needs and expectations.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (BSc)
  • At least 3 to 5 years working experience in a relevant SHEQ role in the food industry
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role
