Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)

The Anti-Corruption Bureau was established by an Act of Parliament to receive and investigate complaints of alleged or suspected corrupt practices; to prosecute offences under the Corrupt Practices Act; to investigate and report on the conduct of any public officer which is connected or conducive to corrupt practices; to take necessary measures for the prevention of corruption in public and private bodies and to solicit public support in the fight against corruption. ACB is in the process of recruiting suitable persons to fill vacant posts as follows:

Job Title : Public Education Officer (2 Positions)
Grade: 7/I
Division: Public Education
Location : Karonga & Lilongwe

Purpose of the Job

To plan and implement Public Education activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct sensitization meetings and workshops for members of the general public.
  • Develop messages for the print and electronic media targeting the general public on anti-corruption matters.
  • Produce and distribute information, education and communication materials.
  • Establish, train and monitor anti-corruption clubs.
  • Facilitate the commemoration of the National Anti-Corruption Day.
  • Preparing periodic reports for the section.
  • Attending to enquiries from the public.
  • Establishing partnerships and linkages with various stakeholders.
  • Soliciting articles for ACB newsletter.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • A Degree in Education or Social Science recognized by Government
  • Two years experience in civic education is desirable

Details of the Posts are as follows:

  1. Employment will be on a three (3) year contract period, renewable depending on performance.
  2. Competitive/attractive remuneration package will be offered.
