Stephanos Foundation is a Reformed Christian, charitable, Internationl Non-Governmental Organisation based in Chilangoma, Chileka, Blantyre.

The initiative for the Foundation started in The Netherlands and was established in Malawi in 1994. Stephanos Foundation is registered with NGORA, CONGOMA, and a member of ECAM.

Currently Stephanos Foundation has a vacancy for Stores Clerk.

POSITION: STORES CLERK

Reporting to : Procurement Officer

Overall Job Purpose

To support the procurement and supply chain functions by ensuring efficient; receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and services in accordance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Receiving, inspecting, and verifying deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Ensuring proper documentation of stock movements and inventory control.
  • Issuing and distributing materials to user departments based on approved requests.
  • Monitoring stock levels and initiating replenishment where necessary.
  • Conducting periodic stock reconciliations and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintaining proper storage conditions to prevent damage and loss.
  • Ensuring a well-organized and secure warehouse/stores environment.

Person Qualifications

  • Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistics.
  • A CIPS Professional Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in procurement and/or stores management in a busy organisation.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least aged 18 years
