Ufulu Gardens Hotel invites applications from suitably qualified and well experienced applicants for the following positions tenable at the hotel in Lilongwe’s Area 43.
Finance and Administration Manager
Position involves two sister companies, reports to the General Manager and directors. Amongst the many duties, more specifically are:
- Manage a team of four accounting staff
- Prepare monthly budgets using Sage Line 50
- Approve expenditure
- Prepare intercompany accounts reports
- Timely filing of all statutory taxes
- Ensure compliance with all business registration requirements
- Perform general administration duties, including HR functions, etc
- Other duties as determined by management
Skills and Qualifications Required for the Job
- Degree in Accounting and active registration with relevant professional bodies
- Strong understanding of Malawi’s tax laws
- Proven experience in finance and administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage Line 50
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter and team player, be able to abide by hotel’s code of conduct
- Knowledge of Anti-Corruption, Health and Safety, Security and Environmental policies
