RESPONSIBILITIES
MPBN and Packet Core operation
- Be responsible for the operation, maintenance and daily checks of the MPBN and Packet Core Nodes as well as trouble shooting, resolving and escalating to support any issues within the MPBN and Packet Core Network.
- Support in co-design, implementation and deployment of the ancillary networks that surround the MPBN Network – IPRAN, CS Core, RAN, IN, Packet Core.
Network Availability & Quality -Active Networks (MPBN & PaCo)
- Performance of periodic Preventive Maintenance activities on MPBN and Packet Core nodes.
- Be performing Software and Hardware updates and upgrades on MPBN nodes.
- Participate in Emergency handling.
- Review daily Health check, Active alarms & hardware fault reports for MPBN nodes and reported by NOC and proactively.
- Be the Customer Interface for MPBN and Provide local domain support to TSG (1st Level Engineering Team) and NOC
Process awareness & partners governance
- Issue and problem management
Accurate Database for MPBN & PaCo Networks
- Be responsible for spares and inventory management for MPBN nodes.
- Update and maintain Network IP Planning document.
Team engagement with direct reportees and other teams including partners
- Verify and followup Backup trackers for MPBN domain.
- Be preparing and presenting CRs in CMB and follow up approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering or IT
- CISCO Certification or related
- Computer skills, especially in MS Excel, Programming, Access, and Powerpoint.
- Sound knowledge of Mobile Network Operations and Maintenance especially MPBN & PaCo Operations (SGSN/GGSN/PCRF)
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
5 years’ experience within Telecommunications Environment
Other Competences (Behavioural etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to maintain good working relationships
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivation
- Good team working skills
