Role Overview
The Manager, Data Analytics will be responsible for overseeing the collection, management, and analysis of data to support the marketing team’s goals. The successful candidate will leverage data insights to help shape marketing strategies, customer retention programs, and competitive analysis in alignment with our turnaround strategy.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Data Accuracy and Integrity: ensure 98% or higher data accuracy across all marketing data systems.
- Data Accessibility and Infrastructure Uptime: maintain 99.5% uptime for the marketing data infrastructure.
- Data-Driven Insights Impact: provide actionable insights that lead to business performance improvement.
- Customer Segmentation Accuracy: ensure 95% accuracy in customer segmentation models.
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV): achieve a 5% reduction in customer acquisition cost and a 10% improvement in customer lifetime value based on data-driven optimizations.
- Data Governance Compliance: 100% compliance with data governance policies, privacy laws, and internal standards.
- Predictive Analytics Model Accuracy: achieve 90% accuracy in predictive models used for customer trends and campaign performance forecasts.
- Dashboard and Reporting Efficiency: Ensure 95% usefulness of dashboards and reports for stakeholders’ decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company’s marketing data infrastructure, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics strategy to provide actionable insights that drive marketing and business performance.
- Leverage data analytics tools and methodologies to track, analyze, and forecast market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Build data-driven models for customer segmentation, targeting and retention strategies, supporting the turnaround objectives.
- Create and manage interactive dashboards and reporting systems to visualize Key Performance Indicators (KP|s), campaign performance, and overall marketing effectiveness.
- Provide insights into customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, and marketing return on investment (ROI), identifying areas for optimization.
- Identify and integrate new data sources, including customer behavior, sales data, and market research, to enrich the company’s data ecosystem and enhance decision-making.
- Oversee the design and delivery of predictive analytics models to anticipate customer trends, campaign performance, and market shifts.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and practices, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and Finance, to support enterprise-wide Bl initiatives and ensure seamless data flow across departments.
- Provide leadership and guidance in business intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization techniques, ensuring the marketing team is empowered to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Proven track record of supporting marketing teams with actionable insights from data analysis.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
