Post: Workshop Technician (Automobile Mechanics) (Grade K)
Salary: Within the (Grade K) salary scale segment

Qualifications
Applicants Should be in possession of either Malawi Advanced Craft Certificate, Malawi Advanced TEVET Certificate or City and Guilds part 2 Certificate in Automobile/Motor Vehicle Mechanics acquired after a successful completion of a recognized indentured apprenticeship in the profession plus Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
Duties
- Teaching according to approved Motor Vehicle Mechanics syllabus and methodology
- Assessing, recording and reporting on students progress;
- Preparing schemes of work and lesson plan;
- Organizing teaching and learning materials for both theory and practical lessons;
- Enforcing student discipline;
- Maintaining class register and student progress records;
- Maintaining available tools and equipment in the section;
- Enforcing classroom and workshop rules and regulations.

Note:
Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19).
