Ethanol Company Limited (EthCo), is an ethanol and allied products manufacturing firm located in Dwangwa. As part of the process of realigning the Company’s Technical Operating Model (TOM) with its strategy, EthCo seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Malawians to fill the following newly created positions in the company.

ASSISTANT PLANT OPERATOR
Reporting to Plant Operator the successful candidate shall be responsible for among other things:

• Assist the Plant Operator in the operations of the Fermentation unit in batch preparation, quality monitoring and house keeping according to laid down parameters
• Assist the Plant Operator in operations of the distillation and the dehydration units in product quality monitoring, meter reading and house keeping for the production of neutral alcohol, rectified alcohol and anhydrous alcohol according to the laid down specifications and parameters

The ideal candidate should have at least the following qualities and qualifications:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science and Biology
• Those with trade test certificate grade 2 in General Fitting will have added advantage
• Should have good communication and report writing skills and basic computer knowledge
• Demonstrate the ability to translate Chemical Material Safety Data Sheets
• Be able to work odd hours.
