TEVET Authority

The Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training (TEVET) Authority is a regulatory body that was established in 1999 by an Act of Parliament with the mandate to regulate, facilitate and promote TEVETin Malawi. Apart from the Secretariat in Lilongwe, the Authority has three regional service centres in Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre.

PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS SPECIALIST
The Productivity Enhancement Programmes (PEP) Specialist will be responsible for effectively and efficiently administering the implementation of the Productivity Enhancement Programmes in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).

KEY DUTIES

a) Annual plans and budgets and reporting

  • Participate in the preparation of SMEs PEP Annual Plans and Budgets
  • Report progress for the SMEs PEP Interventions in the Region
  • Participate in the periodic review of PEP materials to ensure relevance to needs of stakeholder;
  • Facilitate performance reviews.

b) Training and Workshops

  • Facilitate key PEP Interventions to SMEs stakeholders
  • Engage accredited PEP Experts for the delivery of Small and Medium Enterprise PEP interventions
  • Manage the database and profiles of the capable accredited SMEs PEP Experts who would best deliver PEP interventions in the Region.

c) Collaboration and Communication

  • Participate in awareness programs of SMEs PEPs and Entrepreneurship within the Region
  • Participate in the facilitation stakeholders’ consultative meetings
  • Enhance linkages between the TEVET Providers and the SMEs stakeholders in the Region.

d) Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in productivity enhancement.

Reporting to the Regional Service Centre Manager (North)

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing productivity enhancement programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaboratively effectively with diverse team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Administration, Processing Engineering and any related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
