Job Title: Data Management Associate
Immediate Supervisor: Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Specialist
Overall Supervisor: Director of Programs and Policy
Type of Contract: Three months: subject to Renewal based on funding availability and performance.
Position Location: Lilongwe
JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Management Associate to support the collection, consolidation, and analysis of field data to ensure accurate program monitoring and reporting. This position facilitates coordination and communication among project teams to track progress towards targets and supports capacity building initiatives.
KEY SCOPE
a. Area 1: Project data management and support
- Undertake data entry for various project data.
- Ensure accurate collection, cleaning, validation, and standardization of project data from field teams and other sources.
- Establish, maintain, and update project databases and information management systems.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, data summaries, and visualizations such as charts.
- Guided by the supervisor, support periodic audits and quality checks on data collected to identify inconsistencies or errors and implement corrective measures.
- Guided by the supervisor, support development and implementation of data backup protocols and ensure the security and confidentiality.
- With guidance from supervisor, act as a delegated data custodian.
Key Deliverables
b. Area 2: Project impact documentation and support – including meetings.
- Support the M&E in compilation of detailed and clear documentation of project impacts.
- Support production of regular impact reports and summaries for internal teams, donors, and stakeholders to demonstrate project effectiveness and lessons learned.
- Assist in the design of field level data collection, and documentation processes.
- Support timely archiving of impact reports and documentation in designated FRT storage platforms.

c. Area 3: Field level support
- Assist field staff in accurate and timely data collection by providing guidance on data collection tools, techniques, and protocols as assigned.
- Conduct spot checks and verification of field data at collection points.
- Provide hands-on technical support to field teams for data entry.
- Act as a liaison between field teams and central data/monitoring units to facilitate smooth data flow, resolve queries, and ensure adherence to data protocols.

Education and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTED SKILLS
- Highly preferred fresh graduates with Bachelor of Agriculture Economics, Agribusiness Management, Statistics, Social Science, Education Mathematical Science/Geography, Demography, Information Management System
- Basic understanding in project Management
- Ability to communicate and maintain tactful relations with community.
- Good/reasonable proficiency in Microsoft Packages especially Microsoft Excel
- Good/reasonable proficiency in systematic and scientific data visualizations
- Good/reasonable proficiency in popular open-source Open Data Kits
- Flexible, adaptable, able to improvise and work in stressful, volatile environment.
