On behalf of our Client, we are seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Service Provider Agent.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
To support and manage relationships with healthcare service providers in Malawi through regular field visits, training, and operational oversight. The Service Provider Agent ensures that all service providers are properly trained on device usage, electronic claims submission, and protocols. The role is also responsible for invoice collection, reconciliation, system maintenance, and ensuring high-quality member service delivery.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Provider Network Support
- Conduct regular site visits to network providers in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and surrounding areas.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare providers.
- Provide technical support on devices and ensure proper functionality.
- Train providers on electronic claims submission processes and resolve related issues.
- Track system functionality and escalate issues where needed.
- Respond to queries and concerns raised by providers.
- Support the current agent in Malawi by addressing provider-related queries and assisting with any ongoing projects or tasks as needed.
Operational and Technical Oversight
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of devices at provider sites.
- Monitor, control, and update records of devices allocated to providers.
- Ensure providers follow procedures, including timely claims submissions.
- Collect invoices and perform reconciliation checks as requested.
- Ensure all collected documents are submitted in line with timelines.
- Monitor service quality and ensure providers are serving members according to standards.
Stakeholder Engagement and Expansion
- Maintain ongoing communication with all assigned providers.
- Notify providers of updates or changes to policies or procedures.
- Identify and initiate contact with potential new providers for onboarding.
- Support network expansion based on operational needs.
Reporting and Field Communication
- Submit weekly reports outlining field activities, issues resolved, and provider feedback.
- Attend internal coordination meetings to communicate provider concerns and operational risks.
- Serve as a field liaison between operations and provider sites.
- Respond to emergency calls from providers and offer necessary support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience & Qualification:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in health service delivery, technical fieldwork, or provider support roles, is essential.
- Diploma or Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field, is preferred.
- Experience with healthcare claims systems or digital health platforms is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Malawian healthcare service environment preferred.
- Skills & attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical aptitude in device usage and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- High level of independence and responsibility in the field.
- Ability to manage multiple provider relationships concurrently.
- Fluent in English and Chichewa.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in the field.
- Those that have personal vehicles stand a better chance.
Salary: Approximate MK1,000,000.00/month gross
