Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitable qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions existing at CHITIPA DISTRICT COUNCIL
POST : AGRICULTURE OFFICER
GRADE: I/M6
LOCATION: CHITIPA DISTRICT COUNCIL
SALARY: Within The Grade Of I/M6 Salary Segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Production, Agronomy, Horticulture or General Agriculture or related field from a recognized training institution or serving AEDOS Grade K or SAEDO Grade J with minimum of 4 years’ experience on the same grade.
Duties of Post
- Develop strategies for the implementation of crop protection programs.
- Prepare annual work plans and budget
- Develop technical guidance on crop protection
- Organize and conduct training programs on crop protection
- Plan and conduct crop protection field/open days
- Plan and implement on – farm trials and demonstrations
- Undertake surveillance and control of pests and diseases
