Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitable qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions existing at CHITIPA DISTRICT COUNCIL
POST: ROADS ENGINEER
GRADE: I/M6
LOCATION : CHITIPA DISTRICT COUNCIL
SALARY: Within The Grade Of I/M6 Salary Segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering obtained from accredited institutions and must be registered with the Malawi Institute of Engineers.
Duties of Post
- Managing part of construction projects
- Overseeing construction work
- Undertaking surveys
- Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Supervising contracted staff
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
- Help build and maintain infrastructures
- Ensuring project packages meet agreed specification budgets and time scales
