Job Title: Commercial Vehicles Sales Person
Location: Blantyre
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Sales Supervisor
About the Client
A reputable vehicle dealership specialising in commercial vehicles and trucks, the client prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service, market-leading products, and tailored solutions for businesses and individual owners. The client is expanding our sales team and seeking experienced, results-driven Truck Salespersons to join us.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate and follow up on sales leads for trucks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, fleet managers, and individual buyers.
- Present, demonstrate and sell trucks, explaining product features, technical specifications, and financing options.
- Prepare accurate sales proposals, quotations, and complete sales documentation.
- Negotiate prices and terms to close sales while maximising dealership profitability.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of truck models, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Coordinate test drives, vehicle inspections, and handover processes.
- Collaborate with after-sales, finance and service teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Keep CRM updated with lead activity, customer interactions and sales pipeline information.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of provable experience selling trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desirable / Added Advantage
- Membership in a recognised marketing or sales professional body (Institute of Marketing in Malawi, IMM) is an advantage.
- Existing network of commercial clients, fleet operators, or transport companies.
- Familiarity with truck financing and fleet acquisition processes.
