About the Client
A reputable vehicle dealership specialising in commercial vehicles and trucks, the client prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service, market-leading products, and tailored solutions for businesses and individual owners. The client is expanding our sales team and seeking experienced, results-driven Truck Salespersons to join us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate and follow up on sales leads for trucks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, fleet managers, and individual buyers.
  • Present, demonstrate and sell trucks, explaining product features, technical specifications, and financing options.
  • Prepare accurate sales proposals, quotations, and complete sales documentation.
  • Negotiate prices and terms to close sales while maximising dealership profitability.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of truck models, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Coordinate test drives, vehicle inspections, and handover processes.
  • Collaborate with after-sales, finance and service teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Keep CRM updated with lead activity, customer interactions and sales pipeline information.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of provable experience selling trucks or commercial vehicles.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desirable / Added Advantage

  • Membership in a recognised marketing or sales professional body (Institute of Marketing in Malawi, IMM) is an advantage.
  • Existing network of commercial clients, fleet operators, or transport companies.
  • Familiarity with truck financing and fleet acquisition processes.
