A leading vehicle dealership in Malawi, specialising in commercial vehicles and trucks. That delivers tailored solutions to businesses and private customers, backed by expert advice, competitive pricing, and excellent after-sales support. It’s expanding the team and seeking an experienced, results-driven Supervisor for our Truck Sales team to lead, coach, and grow our commercial vehicle sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and mentor the Truck Sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Oversee daily sales activities: lead generation, customer follow-ups, test drives, quotations, negotiations and closures.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to grow truck sales and market share.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, KPIs and pipeline status; produce timely, accurate management reports.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews and training for sales staff to improve skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to dealership policies and sales processes, including accurate documentation and CRM updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, fleet managers, transport companies and financing partners.
  • Support complex negotiations and close high-value deals when required.
  • Coordinate with after-sales, finance and service teams to ensure smooth deliveries and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of new sales personnel.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing or a related field (minimum).
  • Minimum 5 years of provable experience selling trucks/commercial vehicles, with demonstrated success in closing deals.
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience with responsibility for coaching and performance management.
  • Strong reporting skills — ability to prepare clear, accurate sales reports and present results to senior management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
