About Us:

Quality Products Limited is a leading manufacturer of food and household goods in Malawi, specializing in laundry soap, glycerine, candles, and soya-based products. We are expanding our production and looking for skilled Plant Operators to join our laundry soap production team.

Position Summary:

We are recruiting Plant Operators to manage key machinery and stages in our laundry soap production process. The main operator roles available include:

  • Soap Cooker Operator
  • Mixer/Plodder Operator
  • Extruder/Cutter Operator
  • Dryer/Packaging Operator

Key Responsibilities:

1. Soap Cooker Operator

  • Operate soap kettles or boilers for saponification.
  • Monitor temperature and reaction times.
  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals and raw materials.

2. Mixer/Plodder Operator

  • Manage mixing of soap paste with additives.
  • Operate plodder machines to form soap bars or noodles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and equipment.

3. Extruder/Cutter Operator

  • Run extrusion machines to shape soap.
  • Operate cutters to size soap bars or flakes.
  • Monitor output quality and adjust settings as needed.

4. Dryer/Packaging Operator

  • Operate drying equipment or manage curing rooms.
  • Run packaging machines to wrap and pack soap products.
  • Ensure correct labeling and sealing of packages.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MSCE or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work shifts and follow instructions carefully.
  • A smart phone for easy communication
  • Team player with good communication skills.
