Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS)
Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) was established by an Act of Parliament, Act Number 10 of 1974, with mandate to develop, promote, encourage and control all forms of sport in Malawi. In order to fulfil its mandate, MNCS invites applications from suitably qualified and experience candidates to fill various vacant positions as follows:
Public Relations Officer
Grade: CS5
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Position function
To undertake activities for enhancement of MNCS’s reputation and brand image
Main Duties:
- Developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns
- Writing and editing media documents, speeches and other promotional material
- Event management
- Creating and managing media content
- Developing and implementing crisis communication plans
- Ensuring that employees are well informed about Council’s activities, programs and goals
- Serving as the MNCS’s Spokesperson as delegated by Chief Executive Officer
Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Public Relations/Communication/Journalism
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- 4 Years experience in Public Relations
