Background
MASM, the leading medical aid provider in Malawi, is seeking a highly motivated professional in the field of law to join the organization in shaping the future of healthcare in the country.
Position
The Company Lawyer should be a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in the Malawian legal landscape in relation to health and finance law and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing legal documentation, such as service-provider contracts, records of regulatory compliance, policy terms, and internal policies.
- Managing the company’s legal matters, primarily by representing the company in legal proceedings, ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare, financial and data protection legislation Conducting regular compliance reviews.
- Providing legal counsel to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (Master’s in law would be an added advantage).
- Valid practice licence.
- 5 Years “post admission” practical experience in a Law-related position or field.
