Are you passionate about numbers, accuracy, and financial accountability? A dynamic and fast-growing Bar & Grill located at the heart of Lilongwe’s Central Business District is looking for a results-oriented and trustworthy Finance Officer to join our energetic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Monitor budgets and support cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Process payroll and manage payments to suppliers and service providers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Work closely with the operations team to track performance and profitability.
- Daily cash Banking
- Management of Petty cash
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality or retail industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and integrity in handling finances.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Malawi’s tax and labor laws is an added advantage.
