The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawian (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for Improved.

Procurement and Asset Disposal Officer (NF6)

Reporting to: Chief Procurement Officer

Job Purpose

To support development and implementation procurement and asset disposal plans and budgets in compliance with regulations

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing research to identify potential suppliers and evaluating their eligibility and qualifications.
  • Implementing the Fund’s procurement and supply policies, strategies, manual, annual procurement plans/work plans and budget.
  • Communicating with clients about order status, answering questions about products and services, and resolving issues
  • Preparing purchase orders and contracts for approval
  • Negotiating price changes with suppliers when costs fluctuate significantly.
  • Keeping records of orders placed and shipments received, updating inventory levels based on these records.
  • Checking adherence to laws and regulations regarding purchasing procedures and best practices;
  • Coordinating with other departments within NEEF for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, obtained from an NCHE accredited institution.
  • 1 year working experience
