Assistant Procurement and Asset Disposal Officer (NF8)
Reporting: Procurement and Asset Disposal Officer
Job Purpose
To support development and implementation procurement and asset disposal plans and budgets in compliance with regulations
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtaining Price Quotations suppliers for goods and services
- Compiling internal purchase requisitions from user sections
- Preparing Local Purchase Orders.
- Following up on undelivered items with suppliers
- Preparing progress reports
- Maintaining procurement records.
- Participating in tender preparations up to tender opening
- Conducting research to identify potential suppliers and vendors
- Maintaining supplier database.
- Assisting in negotiations with suppliers regarding terms and conditions of contracts to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms
- Assisting in the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
- Conducting regular stock counts to track inventory levels and ensure that supplies are adequate for operational needs
- Participating in the evaluation and qualification of suppliers to ensure they meet organizational standards and requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- CIPS Diploma obtained from an NCHE accredited institution.
- 1 year working experience
