Assistant Procurement and Asset Disposal Officer (NF8)

Reporting: Procurement and Asset Disposal Officer

Job Purpose

To support development and implementation procurement and asset disposal plans and budgets in compliance with regulations

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtaining Price Quotations suppliers for goods and services
  • Compiling internal purchase requisitions from user sections
  • Preparing Local Purchase Orders.
  • Following up on undelivered items with suppliers
  • Preparing progress reports
  • Maintaining procurement records.
  • Participating in tender preparations up to tender opening
  • Conducting research to identify potential suppliers and vendors
  • Maintaining supplier database.
  • Assisting in negotiations with suppliers regarding terms and conditions of contracts to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms
  • Assisting in the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Conducting regular stock counts to track inventory levels and ensure that supplies are adequate for operational needs
  • Participating in the evaluation and qualification of suppliers to ensure they meet organizational standards and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPS Diploma obtained from an NCHE accredited institution.
  • 1 year working experience
