SENIOR ASSISTANT FINANCE OFFICER NF7

Reporting: to Finance officer

Job Purpose

To assist the finance officer in managing financial operations at the regional or zonal level, including reconciliations, record-keeping, and compliance with financial procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing, preparing, and capturing approved payment vouchers and journals in the accounting system.
  • Maintaining of accounting books and ensure proper documentation.
  • Supervising branch accounting functions and reviewing expenditure reports.
  • Preparing and submitting loan transfer sheets to the head office.
  • Updating loan repayment records in the system using verified bank receipts.
  • Support reconciliation of loan portfolios to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Analysing zonal monthly cash flow needs.
  • Providing support in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Preparing financial reports.
  • Preparing documentation for audits and implementing audit recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
