ACCOUNT MANAGER – UTANDE (Malawi)

Reports to: General Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, building relationships with clients, and ensuring the growth of the business. If you are passionate about sales and have the motivation to succeed, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Identity and prospect potential clients, both new and existing.
  • Maintain and expand a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with clients to close deals.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, product offerings, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to the General Manager.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Continuously identify new business opportunities and markets for growth.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.

Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • A degree in Sales/Marketing Management/ Business Management and/or relevant qualification.
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience in the same field.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for achieving targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
