Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is a local, non-governmental organization providing youth friendly sexual and reproductive health rights, information, and services. FPAM compliments the government of Malawi in improving the health status of all people in Malawi. FPAM’s vision is a Malawian society with access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and information.

FPAM is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable at Balaka and Lilongwe districts.

NURSE SERVICE PROVIDER – BALAKA & LILONGWE

Contract Description: Contract
Reporting to: Service Delivery Manager
Role: Providing Quality integrated SHR services to clients following quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Setting up outreach clinic and ensuring all equipment and supplies are available.
  2. Provision of all services as approved by MoH/FPAM using quality of care standards and guidelines as provided and within the professional confines of the service provider.
  3. Manage stock status of commodities.
  4. Support the Project Coordinator in accurately completing service data and produce activity reports whenever necessary.
  5. Provides SHR information and services following the rights of clients.
  6. Facilitates collaboration with key stakeholders including health facilities and community health workers in service delivery.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  1. Diploma/ Degree in Nursing with extensive experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health, including the provision of Family Planning methods such as Short Term and LARC.
  2. At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in a busy health related environment
  3. Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
