Due to new product development and innovation projects, new job opportunities have arisen in our Marketing Department. We are therefore looking for an ambitious, experienced, and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as the Head of Communications and Corporate Events.
Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Communication Strategy. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and monitoring the marketing department budget, be custodian of the policy for ordering advertising materials and POS items, managing the central marketing warehouse, managing corporate events, sponsorships. The incumbent will play a key role in the day-to-day operational needs of the communications section, enabling smooth and efficient execution of corporate events.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Head of Corporate Events and Communication, will be required to carry out the following duties, but not limited to:
- Lead in the formulation and implementation of the communication strategy.
- Manage the items warehouse in terms of stock levels, trigger new orders for promotional items and POS materials.
- Establish sponsorship and events policy including event category and type, event sponsorship procedures, in line with the marketing and brand strategy.
- Manage the Local and International suppliers in liaison with the procurement team, on POS materials, goodies, textiles and branding.
- Centralize the preparation and content of the marketing budget in liaison with other internal stakeholders.
- Tracking of the monthly marketing budget expense.
- Conduct annual evaluations of the communications team; coach and develop team members’ capabilities.
- Ensure consistent reporting on corporate events and sponsorships, and usage of POS and advertising materials.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidates should have, at least the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Communication, or Marketing, or Customer Relations, preferably with 5 years’ experience in Communication and Corporate Events management in a similar role in an FMCG Industry.
