Responsible to: Principal Systems Administrator

Purpose of the Job

To provide help desk assistance on ICT Hardware and software matters.

Duties:

  1. Assists in designing, developing, and upgrading existing systems;
  2. Monitors and administers systems and application issues for uninterruptedly;
  3. Provide first-line support to users for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems;
  4. Troubleshoots system errors and escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary;
  5. Provides hardware and software upgrades;
  6. Ensures data backups are performed regularly and assist in recovery operations when needed;
  7. Assists with onboarding new employees by providing ICT equipment, setting up user accounts and providing system orientations; and,
  8. Works closely with other IT staff and departments to implement technical solutions.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline; and at least two (2) years’ work experience with ICT help desk support and ability to work with different operating systems.
