ACCOUNTANT
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Maintain accurate general ledger and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Monitor inventory, cost controls, and financial forecasting
- Support budgeting and cash flow planning
- Liaise with banks and regulatory authorities
- Maintain proper documentation and record:
Qualification and skills
- Fully qualified ICAM member (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi) or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and ERP systems
- High attention to detail, analytical skills, and integrity
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Tally
