Local Government Service Commission is inviting Applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following vacant positions tenable at Ntcheu District Council
Job Title: Assistant Youth Officer
Grade: M8
Salary: Within the Grade M8 salary scale segment

Qualification
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Youth Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Community Development, Child Development, Youth Guidance and Counselling from accredited institution
Duties
- Developing, implementing, monitoring and follow up on youth development programs in collaboration with immediate supervisor.
- Preparing and developing district project proposals for funding by cooperating partners.
- Developing and put in place mechanisms for identifying Youth Development Needs in the district with instruction from the Youth Officer.
- Providing coordination of Youth Programs with NGOs, Ministries and cooperating partners in collaboration with the Youth Officer at district level.
- Presiding youth services in the district
- Facilitating youth technical working-group committee meetings on behalf of Youth Officer and make follow-ups on its decisions.
- Facilitating training for the young people in the district in collaboration with the immediate supervisor.
- Compile and submit reports monthly, quarterly and annually to relevant offices.
Note: Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19)
