Assistant Branch Manager – (2400003W)
Job Purpose and Key responsibilities
Job purpose
Managing and growing relationships between Britam and its current and future direct clients and agencies
Key responsibilities
- Identify leads and make sales pitch
- Develop and maintaining good working relationships with intermediaries and direct clients
- Participate in the introduction of new products through regular visits and frequent communication with intermediaries and direct clients
- Respond to queries and concerns from clients
- Servicing existing clients
- Follow up on renewals for general insurance business
- Follow up premium collections
- Forward proposal forms to underwriting department and follow up for accurate execution.
- Ensure credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products
- Credit control management of general insurance debtors
- Provide coaching and training to brokers and independent agents
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Working relationships
Internal Relationships:
- Accountable to the Sales Manager / Branch Manager
- Required to liaise and work closely with the other business heads as may be necessary
External Relationships:
- Regulatory Authorities
- Insurance sector players
- Britam Customers
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing option preferred). Masters is an added advantage.
- Diploma in sales and marketing or CIM qualification
- Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI, or AIIK)
- Five years’ experience in a similar position two of which should be in a supervisory position
