Reporting to: Leaf Buying Area Manager
Role: Permanent
Purpose
The position is responsible for ensuring JTI Leaf Malawi buying and pricing policies are implemented while delivering quality and NTRM free tobacco in line with set standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate tobacco quality to assign right buying price.
- Manage daily buying processes ensuring final arbitration process is in line with tobacco quality.
- Assist with quality assessment of internal grades and blends to meet JTI grading standards.
- Conduct and provide daily market research data.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 3 year(s) of experience within the tobacco industry.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills .
- English and any local language.
